Oakley the Hedgehog

Meet Oakley, a sweet little acorn who fell from an oak tree and turned into a hedgehog. He is seriously so fun to crochet and takes less than an hour to whip up. Looking for a cute fall project?! This free crochet acorn hedgehog pattern is the perfect beginner friendly make. Inspired by woodland charm, this amigurumi duo makes adorable fall decor or a perfect quick no sew market make! I originally designed this pattern a few years ago, back in 2023. Until now, it’s been a paid pattern only, but now it’s time to share this one with you here for free.

***You can purchase an INEXPENSIVE PDF of this pattern on Etsy or Ravelry! There is a color version with pictures as well as a black & white printable version included. The pdf includes a diagram for the dragonfly frills.

This pattern is written in US terminology. It is made in continuous rounds. Do not ch 1 or sl st at the end of each round unless instructed to do so. Place a stitch marker in the first stitch of each round. Stitch count is in ( ) at the end of each round. Make sure your count is correct before moving to the next round. This is considered to be a no sew pattern.
